Report Content:

"How to write a world-class paper" is a very popular question for many researchers. Prof. S. TED OYAMA, being the Editor of J. Catal., will give us a comprehensive explanation on this question according to his rich experience, from experimental designing to the paper preparing. This is a great chance for us to learn how to prepare the world-class paper based on the Editor's point of view.

This two-hour workshop will focus on the subjects of writing / presenting results of science / engineering research. It will cover basic to advanced writing skills with a focus on the preparation of scientific papers. Attention will be placed on “English as Second Language” problems, specifically in students’ professional writings (from language structure to punctuation, and use of articles). Students will be introduced to the construction of various sections of articles (materials / methods / results / conclusions). An additional part of the course will address strategies and techniques for successfully submitting and revising manuscripts sent to top journals.
